About Us
Hi! And welcome to Yellow Hazel! I am Kristen (Founder) and that handsome guy in the picture with me is my husband and all-around hype man Jeff. In late 2021, I found myself at a crossroads trying to decide what I really wanted to be when I grew up. Up until that point I had held a variety of positions in corporate America including production/inventory planner for a gourmet cookie and gifting company, demand planner for a furniture retailer, product development and sourcing for a swag/gift with purchase supplier, and field visual merchandiser for an internationally known multi-billion dollar fashion retailer. When you look at it on paper, it totally looks like the perfect career... And in many, many, many ways it has been, but something was missing.
For the past decade or so I have had the dream of developing a boutique website that could provide quality clothing to boost others confidence. In fact, one of my favorite parts from my visual merchandiser days was helping individuals find their confidence in the clothes they were trying on. Helping them take a risk, step outside of their comfort zone, and find something they absolutely LOVED!
In the aftermath of the COVID pandemic, my burnout with corporate life was real and it went beyond just needing a change of scenery. I loved what I did, and I loved the people I worked with, but it just was not enough anymore. I needed to chase my dream. I needed something that was mine. And I needed something I could share with everyone that would give me the boost I used to get from helping others find their confidence. Thankfully, I have the most supportive husband and small circle of friends that gave me the confidence boost I needed to launch Yellow Hazel.
So here we are. From the very beginning of development, the goal has always been to bring you the cutest clothes, shoes, and accessories to fit all sizes. Our stylish pieces can easily transition from the office to dinner and drinks to vacation... and most importantly, they are affordable. It is everything I could have wished for.
